YOUNG SAMURAI
13-16 Years Old

Our Young Samurai program is designed to help young teenagers take their martial arts journey to the next level. In this class, students build on the foundational skills they’ve already learned, strikes, throws, and pins, while adding new techniques like chokes and arm bar submissions. Along with physical techniques, students will learn essential self-defense strategies such as how to more efficiently react to an attack and how to quickly defend themselves. Even more importantly, this program teaches emotional resilience: how to manage confrontation, control emotions, and overcome anxiety or stress in challenging situations, fostering a mindset of focus, calm, and rational decisions. By the end of the program, your teen will have not only improved in martial arts but also gained valuable tools for navigating life’s challenges with confidence and self-control.

RESPECT THAT IS EARNED

Respect is our way of life. You see it when students bow to the instructor as well as each other. Students at IPPON learn respect and grow as they earn rank. When students are promoted, they know they earned it.

MINDFULNESS

Judo keeps your mind focused on the task at hand. It also rewards with victories and accomplishments. You will learn how to keep your head in the game with no distractions. IPPON Martial Arts will teach you how to control your emotions and use your mind to win.

RESILIENCE

Overcoming tough obstacles in Judo will strengthen your spirit allowing you to surpass your physical and mental limits. Get ready to overcome the hesitation that holds you back. You will be comfortable taking on new challenges and reacting to change. When life throws lemons... you'll be the one drinking lemonade.

Test curriculum takes place approximately every 2 months. Three stripes are needed to advance to the next belt level.
